A 75 year old Georgia woman disabled the internet connection of an entire country for a grueling 5 hours yesterday. The woman was allegedly scavenging for copper when she sliced through a fiber optic cable with her spade, causing the entire country of Armenia to lose their internet connection. She could face up to three years in prison.
I must say, this woman is a cyber-criminal mastermind.

Xbox live exec hacked
Stephen Toulouse, the head of Xbox Live's policy and enforcement division, aka the man who wields the ban-hammer, was hacked recently. A hacker known only as PredatorSik reportedly took control of his email, personal blog and even his Xbox Live account for a brief period of time. PredatorSik later released a Youtube video explaining how he did it, unfourtunately it has been taken down. Reports say that he took over the accounts with a technique called social engineering. Basically manipulating people into releasing sensitive info. The most interesting part of this story : He did it for revenge. Why? PredatorSik has been banned from Xbox Live 35 times.
Geohot
I've been following this story since the start, mostly because I've been following Geohot since his famous iPhone jailbreak. For those who don't know Geohot is an American hacker best known for unlocking the iPhone. Recently he has been sued by Sony because he had released the PS3's root key, allowing fellow hackers to install homebrew apps, among other things, onto the PS3. The lawsuit claims he has violated the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, among others.

New in the news, Anonymous, an internet group that has been called many different names, known mostly for propelling the message of freedom of speech (on the internet or otherwise), have been getting involved in Geohot's struggle. Anonymous, who last summer had attacked various RIAA and MPAA websites and affiliates, knocking them offline, has turned their sights on Sony and their legal team. So far they have downed several of Sony's websites, including the Playstation Network. Anonymous claims in this video (http://youtu.be/tcSCUU4Fg9k) that the attacks will not stop until they are satisfied with the actions Sony take.
Definitely an awesome story to follow, I will keep you guys posted !

First post !
Hey guys! I'm new to this blogging business but I intend to create and upkeep an informative blog talking mostly about tech news and general hacker/modder community news. I keep a close eye on breakthroughs achieved by hackers on the Xbox 360, Wii, PS3 and PSP, so I figured why not share my finds as well as my thoughts with whoever is willing to listen. I'll throw in some gaming news as well as whatever I'm interested in at the time, being world news or tech news. Basically this will be a blog about everything, hence the name. Looking forward to see what happens.
